Role Description The Student Counsellor role at Admissify Edutech is a full-time, on-site position based in Kolkata. In this role, the counsellor provides guidance to students on study options in India and overseas, including course selection, university choices, and application timelines. Daily responsibilities include conducting counselling sessions, responding to student and parent inquiries, maintaining detailed records of interactions, and following up on application and admission processes. The counsellor will coordinate with immigration experts and faculty to provide accurate information on visa requirements, eligibility criteria, and academic expectations. The role also involves organizing information sessions,



supporting marketing and outreach activities, and ensuring a positive, professional experience for every student.
Qualifications

- Robust counselling and advisory skills, with the ability to understand student goals and provide clear, unbiased guidance.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including active listening, professional email and phone etiquette, and confident presentation abilities.
- Ability to research and interpret information on universities, courses, admission processes, and visa regulations, and explain it in simple terms.
- Organizational and time-management skills, including maintaining accurate records, tracking application status, and handling multiple student cases.
- Comfort working with digital tools and CRM or student management systems, along with basic proficiency in office productivity software.
- Bachelor's degree in any discipline; a background in education, counselling, psychology, or related fields is an advantage.
- Prior experience in student counselling, education consulting, or study-abroad advisory services is preferred but not mandatory.
- Commitment to ethical, non-discriminatory practices and the ability to work collaboratively in a diverse, student-focused environment.
