About The Role

HCLTech is seeking a highly skilled Google Cloud Solutions Engineer / Architect to join its dynamic team across India. This role is pivotal in driving solution design and engineering efforts aimed at accelerating the adoption of Google Cloud Platform (GCP) within enterprise environments. As a Solutions Engineer / Architect, you will lead complex cloud migration projects, develop modernization strategies, and implement data engineering and AI-driven automation solutions. Your expertise will enable clients in industries such as banking, retail, healthcare, and telecom to leverage cloud technologies effectively, ensuring seamless integration and operational excellence.

The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with global sales teams, technical architects, and industry partners to craft compelling go-to-market strategies, respond to customer requirements, and secure key business wins. Your leadership in designing industry-specific use cases and innovative cloud solutions will be instrumental in positioning HCLTech as a leader in cloud transformation services. Qualifications





The ideal candidate will possess a strong educational background with a B.E. or B.Tech degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related fields. You should have a minimum of 5 to 7 years of overall IT experience, with at least 2-3 years specifically working with Google Cloud Platform (GCP). Proven expertise in cloud architecture, data engineering, and AI platforms is essential. Certifications such as Google Cloud Certified Professional Cloud Architect, Data Engineer, or Machine Learning Engineer are highly preferred. Candidates should demonstrate a high level of proficiency in GCP compute, storage, and networking services, along with hands-on experience in designing and implementing data warehouses, BI solutions, and enterprise-grade AI applications.

Additionally, a solid understanding of industry-specific value stream use cases, strong soft skills including executive presence and communication, and experience working with GSI partners to scale solutions are desirable attributes for this role.

Responsibilities

As a Google Cloud Solutions Engineer / Architect, your key responsibilities will include:

- Collaborating with global sales teams and Google Cloud Architects to respond to RFIs/RFPs and proactively address customer requirements, ensuring alignment with client objectives.
- Developing ROI models and hyperscale funding strategies to optimize total cost of ownership and demonstrate the financial benefits of cloud adoption.
- Designing industry-specific use cases and ideation sessions for IT managed services, focusing on cloud adoption, modernization, and automation.
- Leading technical workshops and creating reference architectures for data center migration,



modernization, and cloud-native application development.
- Designing and implementing data engineering solutions using GCP services such as BigQuery, Looker, and Vertex AI, tailored to enterprise needs.
- Innovating AI solutions, including Gemini Enterprise Agentic AI and Generative AI (GenAI), to accelerate IT managed services, cloud operations, and engineering automation.
- Building strong partnerships with GSI ecosystem players to develop joint solutions, scale go-to-market initiatives, and expand cloud adoption across industries.
- Maintaining high industry domain knowledge, especially in BFSI, RCPG, telecom, healthcare, manufacturing, and technology sectors, to craft relevant and impactful solutions.
