About the Role:

Purpose of Role:

Recognizing the ongoing Regulatory and potential Internal Change agenda; The understanding of any Client relationship impact and the subsequent Outreach and Transition management is a fundamental business consideration. At all times, ensuring all relationships are clear on the change, the potential impact and steps the organization is taking to ensure a positive and efficient client experience.

This role in Client Engagement sits within the Client Lifecyle Management (CLM) group under the Global Corporate Investment Banking (GCIB) division in MUFG Bank Ltd, London branch. It is nuanced in that it services both MUFG Bank and Securities entities, adding a layer of complexity and interest to the role.

The purpose of this role is to be responsible for supporting the planning, execution and post outreach MI creation for client outreach initiatives (covering regulatory compliance, industry and organizational change). Working across MUFG EMEAs footprint to ensure seamless and consistent messaging with a client centric focus.

The Client Outreach Data Analyst will work to ensure (regulatory) compliance by supporting outreach efforts to clients in response to regulatory requirements, internal/external updates or audit as well as client transition projects.

Main Responsibilities:

- Ability to scope client outreach projects as and when required, ensuring sound understanding of MUFGs client base / products and relationships
- Develop Excel / project trackers which can be adjusted as and when required to account for client engagement complexities within client outreach approach (such as trading activity, product type, legal agreement data, group relationships etc.)
- Development of client engagement trackers to account for client contact readiness, outreach completion / stages, ease of identifying areas of escalation
- Data management of data sets across MUFG entities / branches and divisions to facilitate preparation of client outreach,



ensuring considerations for shared relationships and nuances in approach
- Create and manage MI dashboards to present to varying levels of stakeholders
- MI status reporting across multiple business lines and functions within the organization
- Proactive in identifying/raising data quality issues/themes (such as client contact gaps or bounce-backs) and close working with Data Quality team to resolve and enrich client contact database
- Act as the Subject Matter Expert/Key Point of Contact for Client Outreach from execution via Salesforce/Outlook to campaign closure
- Continued improvement to the client outreach approach, driving increased efficiency and positive client experience
- Identify opportunities to streamline and improve outreach processes to enhance compliance effectiveness and client experience
- Support ongoing client & regulatory data investigation & remediation projects taking into consideration client experience and balancing that with business requirements accordingly
- Interact & communicate effectively at all levels and build strong cooperative working relationships on an ongoing basis with business partners
- Manage Internal Front Office stakeholders to support data clean-up / validation exercises through collation & action of responses
- Supporting strategic projects to expand and enhance the Client Engagement scope

Candidate Profile:

Work ExperienceEssential:

- Experience transition projects/regulatory or market change initiatives such as Brexit, IBOR
- 3 - 5 years + experience as aData SME with a strong understanding of (Client) Data and the importance of how Data Quality supports both the client experience and mitigates internal risk.

Functional / Technical Competencies:

- Proficiency in MS Office with Advanced Excel
- Strong analytical skills to interpret large sets of data
- Problem solving skills
- Understanding of client lifecycle from onboarding to offboarding and various stages / scenarios in between
- Excellent communication skills clear, concise and professional communication abilities, especially in MI creation and the interpretation of the data
- Experience/knowledge in CRM platforms such as Salesforce
- Broad knowledge of investment and corporate banking products and services and how they impact or support clients across sectors / regions
- Broad experience/knowledge in UK, European and US Regulation (MIFID, EMIR, Dodd Frank, CFTC, SBSD, FATCA/CRS)
- Understanding different types of clients (NBFI, Fund managers, Hedge Funds, Insurance Companies, Agents,



CCP)
- Ability to complete milestones and work toward multiple deadlines simultaneously
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- A methodological and logical approach
- Ability to communicate effectively with key stakeholders at all levels
- Approachable and able to form good working relationships

Education / Qualifications:

- Degree level education in relevant subject (e.g. finance, maths, physics etc.)
- Other beneficial qualifications (e.g. MBA, CFA, etc.)
- Languages(proficient in writing)English

Managing Conflicts of Interest

- The role holder will have responsibilities for both MUFG Bank and MUFG Securities EMEA plc
- The role holder will be required to perform their duties and responsibilities on an entity neutral basis, without favour
- The role holder is required to follow regulatory requirements applicable to ensure each business is appropriately supported and to maintain the legal entity integrity of each of MUFG Bank and MUFG Securities EMEA plc
- Working terms are dictated by functional mandates, the terms of the Dual-Hat Arrangement Agreement in place between MUFG Bank and MUFG Securities EMEA plc and any other relevant agreements entered into between MUFG Bank and MUFG Securities EMEA plc
- The role holder will have responsibility for identifying and resolving where there may be a difference or conflict in needs between MUFG Bank and MUFG Securities EMEA plc, escalating to their manager where required
