Role Overview

We are looking for a Software Development Engineer 2 (Backend – Java) to design, build, and

scale robust backend systems and APIs that power company's fintech platform.

The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience in Java-based backend development,

a solid understanding of system design principles, and experience building scalable, secure

financial systems.

Key Responsibilities

● Design, develop, and maintain backend applications and RESTful APIs using Java

● Implement business logic, data models, and algorithms to support product features

● Ensure high reliability,



scalability, and performance of backend systems

● Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following best practices

● Debug and resolve production issues and application defects

● Collaborate with QA teams to define and execute test cases

● Work closely with product managers and frontend teams to translate requirements into

technical solutions

● Contribute to architecture decisions and continuous improvement of development

processes

● Stay updated with emerging backend technologies and fintech trends

Technical Requirements

Core Backend Skills

● Strong proficiency in Java

● Experience with Spring / Spring Boot

● Hands-on experience with Hibernate / JPA

● Experience building RESTful APIs

● Solid knowledge of Servlets, JSP

● Understanding of MVC architecture

Database & Storage

● Excellent knowledge of Relational Databases & SQL

● Experience with ORM technologies (JPA2, Hibernate)

● Familiarity with NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Cassandra)

● Understanding of caching mechanisms

Testing & Development Practices

● Experience with JUnit, TestNG, Mockito

● Familiarity with Test-Driven Development (TDD)

● Strong understanding of SDLC & Agile methodologies

● Proficiency with Git

● Exposure to CI/CD practices

Skills:- Multithreading, concurrency, Object Oriented Programming (OOPs), Distributed Systems, Spring Security, Spring Boot and Java
