Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced DBT Developer with strong expertise in DBT, Snowflake, SQL, Python, and SAS to design, develop, and maintain scalable data transformation solutions. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in up-to-date data engineering practices, data modelling, ETL/ELT processes, and cloud-based data platforms. You will work closely with data engineers, analysts, and business teams to build reliable and high-quality data pipelines.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop and maintain data transformation workflows using DBT (Data Build Tool).
- Design, build, and optimize ELT pipelines using Snowflake as the cloud data warehouse.
- Write complex and optimized SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, and analysis.
- Create reusable DBT models, macros, tests, and documentation following best practices.
- Implement data quality checks, validations, and automated testing using DBT frameworks.
- Work with Python scripts for data processing, automation, and integration tasks.
- Maintain and optimize existing SAS-based data processes and migrate workloads where required.
- Perform data modelling activities including dimensional modelling, star schema, and data warehouse design.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.




- Troubleshoot data pipeline issues and improve performance, scalability, and reliability.
- Participate in code reviews, version control practices, and CI/CD deployment processes.

Required Skills & Qualifications

- 3+ years of experience in Data Engineering / Analytics Engineering roles.
- Strong hands-on experience with DBT (Data Build Tool).
- Advanced SQL skills with experience in query optimization and performance tuning.
- Strong experience working with Snowflake Data Warehouse.
- Proficiency in Python for data processing and automation.
- Experience with SAS programming and SAS data processes.
- Good understanding of ETL/ELT concepts and data pipeline development.
- Experience with data modelling concepts and warehouse architecture.
- Knowledge of Git, CI/CD pipelines, and Agile development methodologies.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Skills

- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Experience with workflow orchestration tools like Airflow.
- Knowledge of data visualization tools such as Power BI/Tableau.
- Experience with data governance, metadata management, and data quality frameworks.
- Familiarity with Jinja templating and DBT advanced features.
