Senior Informatica MDM Consultant — SKU / Product Master Data

Role summary

We are seeking a hands-on Informatica MDM Consultant to design, configure and deliver a SKU master data solution on Informatica MDM. The engagement establishes a single trusted golden record for a defined SKU catalogue (initial scope: 150 SKUs), consolidating data from multiple source systems (Excel and database sources), synchronising to SAP HANA, and maintaining consistent SKU identity across SAP HANA and Syndigo.

This is a build-and-configure role with a strong stakeholder-facing component: the consultant will work directly with business SMEs and data stewards during discovery to confirm field definitions, match/survivorship logic and the golden-record ownership model, then configure the platform to deliver against that design.

Domain note: The scope centres on packaging specification data for consumer/product SKUs. Prior exposure to product/packaging master data (e.g. CPG, manufacturing, retail) is a strong advantage.

Key responsibilities

SKU golden record & data model

- Design and build the SKU master data model (base objects/business entities), establishing a single trusted record for each SKU consolidated from multiple sources.
- Define and manage packaging specification attributes (text-based fields), including data types, acceptable value formats and validation, confirmed with business SMEs.

Source system onboarding & integration

- Configure ingestion from two source systems (Excel files and database sources) into MDM.
- Configure downstream synchronisation of golden records to SAP HANA.
- Maintain cross-system identity / key mapping so that SKU identifiers remain consistent across MDM, SAP HANA and Syndigo.

Matching, merging & survivorship

- Configure and tune match rules (exact and fuzzy) to identify and consolidate duplicate or overlapping SKU records across source systems.




- Define trust and survivorship rules that determine, at attribute level, which source system wins in conflict scenarios.
- Implement duplicate detection and de-duplication for SKU records sourced from Excel and database inputs, including remediation of existing duplicates.

Data quality & cleansing

- Configure standardisation and cleansing routines applied on ingestion to ensure consistency and accuracy of SKU data.

Data stewardship & governance

- Configure data stewardship workflows enabling review and approval of SKU data changes and exceptions.
- Support definition of the golden-record ownership and stewardship model during discovery, and validate matching and survivorship rules with SMEs.

Delivery

- Document configuration, rules and design decisions; support test cycles (unit, SIT, UAT) and cutover.
- Provide knowledge transfer to internal steward and support teams.

Required skills & experience

- 6+ years hands-on Informatica MDM implementation experience across the full configuration lifecycle.
- Proven, hands-on configuration of match & merge, trust scoring and survivorship rules, including fuzzy matching and de-duplication.
- MDM data modelling — base objects/business entities, relationships, and attribute design.
- Data integration experience ingesting from flat files / Excel and relational database sources.
- Data quality/cleansing — standardisation, validation and cleansing of master data on ingestion.
- Configuration of data stewardship workflows (review/approval/exception handling).
- Solid SQL and relational data skills.
- Solid grasp of core MDM concepts: golden record, trust, survivorship, identity resolution, stewardship.
- Experience integrating MDM with downstream systems (publish / sync patterns); direct SAP HANA integration experience strongly preferred.
- Ability to run discovery and requirements sessions with business SMEs and translate outcomes into configuration.
