Description

The Purchase Assistant/Executive is responsible for supporting the procurement activities of the organization. This role involves sourcing suppliers, managing purchase orders, and ensuring that materials are available for production and operations.

Responsibilities

- Assist in the procurement process by sourcing and evaluating suppliers.
- Prepare purchase orders and track order status until delivery.
- Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and other significant data.
- Collaborate with various departments to understand purchasing needs and ensure timely supply of materials.
- Monitor inventory levels and place orders as necessary to prevent shortages.
- Support negotiations with suppliers to obtain the best pricing and terms.

Skills and Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
- 1-3 years of experience in purchasing or procurement preferred.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Familiarity with procurement software and tools.
