Key Responsibilities:

- Manage day-to-day production activities during the assigned shift for smart meter assembly, testing, and packaging.
- Ensure timely achievement of production targets as per plan, while maintaining quality standards.
- Supervise a team of operators, technicians, and line supervisors; assign tasks and monitor performance.
- Monitor machinery and equipment functioning; coordinate with maintenance for breakdowns and preventive maintenance.
- Implement and ensure adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs), 5S, lean manufacturing, and safety protocols.
- Collaborate with QA/QC teams to address non-conformities and reduce rejection rates.
- Maintain shift-wise production reports, logbooks, and incident records.
- Conduct daily shift handovers and ensure clear communication across shifts and departments.
- Train and mentor operators and recent joiners on work instructions, equipment use, and safety.
- Coordinate with inventory/warehouse teams to ensure material availability on time.





Qualifications & Experience:

- Diploma or B.Tech/B.E. in Electronics, Electrical, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering.
- 3–5 years of experience in electronic product manufacturing, preferably smart meters or similar precision products.
- Hands-on knowledge of SMT lines, PCB assembly, functional testing, calibration, and final product assembly.
- Experience in handling ERP systems for production entries and inventory tracking.

Skills Required:

- Strong leadership and people management skills.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing, Kaizen, and quality tools (e.g., 7 QC tools, root cause analysis).
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
- Flexible to work in rotational shifts (day/night).
