This is a Level-3 (L3) Mainframe Infrastructure Support role where the engineer administers, maintains, upgrades, and troubleshoots the IBM z/OS operating system and system software rather than developing business applications. Lead and drive the following activities. Lead and extend the Support for all Geos. Lead and Support Global engagements.



Lead Technical health Assessment. Support Major Incidents and RCAs. Provide technical guidance to the team during critical projects / Recent solutions/ changes. Own SIPs, Automation, process, Skills, and Accountability. Lead skill building activities – including mentoring, identifying skill areas, gaps, assessments, planning, and execution. Liaise with System Programmers, Delivery Leaders, Client Partner Executives, SALs and Client. Gap identification, mitigation, and ownership (Skill, Process, Account etc.) Lead Guild and partnership programs with IBM & other Vendors. Document & Publish Learning Required Technical and Professional Expertise 10+ years of relevant experience in Mainframe zOS Platform support. Act as support and domain expert for z/OS operating system and system components; provide direct technical support as needed in the planning, coordination, installation, implementation and testing of releases, upgrades, or changes to z/OS operating system, network, and component software. License management for ISV products, Patch management for zOS Knowledge on SMP/E. Experience with ISV product upgrades. Primary support for assigned ISV products along with diagnose z/OS platform system and product issues and follow up with root cause analysis. Preferred Technical and Professional Experience Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field. SME for MF ZOS system programming problem determination. Evaluate and recommend changes to current and future system software requirements to meet the organization's needs. Troubleshoot Infrastructure and Application issues related to ZOS. Implementing and enforcing security policies on the z/OS system to protect sensitive data
