Responsibilities:
Supply Chain Management:
Develop and implement supply chain strategies to optimize efficiency and reduce costs. Monitor and manage the entire supply chain process, from procurement to distribution.
Inventory Management:
Maintain optimal inventory levels to meet customer demand while minimizing holding costs. Implement inventory control policies and procedures.
Transportation Management:
Coordinate the transportation of goods, materials, and products, ensuring on-time delivery. Negotiate contracts with transportation providers and carriers.
Warehouse and Distribution:
Oversee warehouse operations, including storage, order fulfilment, and inventory control. Ensure accurate and timely distribution of products to customers or other locations.
Logistics Planning:
Develop and maintain logistics plans to support business objectives. Forecast demand, plan routes, and schedule shipments.
Vendor and Supplier Management:
Manage relationships with suppliers,
ensuring timely deliveries and cost-effective sourcing. Evaluate supplier performance and negotiate agreements.
Compliance and Regulations:
Ensure compliance with local and international regulations, including customs and trade regulations. Stay informed about changes in logistics regulations and standards.
Cost Control:
Monitor and control logistics costs, finding opportunities to reduce expenses. Implement cost-effective logistics solutions.
Team Management:
Lead and supervise a team of logistics professionals, including warehouse staff, drivers, and supply chain analysts. Provide training and support to team members.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's/master’s degree in logistics, supply chain management, business, or a related field. A master's degree may be preferred.
- Proven experience in logistics and supply chain management, with a track record of successful process improvements.
