Responsibilities:
Dispensing Medications: Accurately interpret prescriptions and dispense medications while ensuring the correct dosage and instructions are provided to patients.
Patient Consultation: Offer qualified pharmaceutical advice to patients regarding their medications, potential side effects, and proper usage. Address any questions or concerns raised by patients and provide appropriate recommendations.
Medication Management: Monitor medication therapy for effectiveness, interactions, and adverse reactions. Collaborate with healthcare providers to optimize patient outcomes and ensure safe medication usage.
Inventory Management: Maintain proper inventory levels of medications and supplies, including ordering, receiving, and storing medications in compliance with pharmacy regulations.
Regulatory Compliance: Adhere to all federal and state pharmacy laws and regulations, including record-keeping requirements,
patient confidentiality, and controlled substance dispensing protocols.
Quality Assurance: Perform regular quality assurance checks to ensure the accuracy and safety of dispensed medications. Implement corrective actions as needed to address any identified issues.
Patient Education: Conduct educational sessions for patients on topics such as medication adherence, disease management, and lifestyle modifications to promote overall health and wellness.
Qualifications:
PharmD Degree: Bachelor's or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree from an accredited pharmacy program.
State Licensure: Valid pharmacist license in the state of practice, with a clean disciplinary record.
Clinical Knowledge: Strong understanding of pharmaceutical principles, drug therapy, and pharmacology.
Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate complex medical i
