Job Summary:
Key Responsibilities:
BOQ Preparation:
- Prepare detailed Bills of Quantities (BOQs) for various interior design projects.
- Ensure BOQs are comprehensive and include all necessary materials, labor, and services required for project completion.
Cost Estimation:
- Conduct thorough cost analysis and estimation for recent projects.
- Work closely with the design and procurement teams to gather accurate cost data for materials and services.
- Update cost databases regularly to reflect current market prices.
Project Analysis:
- Review and analyze project drawings, specifications, and other documents to understand project scope and requirements.
- Identify potential cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality.
Vendor Coordination:
- Source and negotiate with vendors and suppliers to obtain competitive prices for materials and services.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure timely delivery and quality of materials.
Budget Management:
- Monitor project budgets and provide regular updates to project managers and stakeholders.
- Identify and address any discrepancies between estimated and actual costs.
Reporting:
- Prepare and present detailed cost reports and financial forecasts to senior management.
- Ensure all reports are accurate, comprehensive, and submitted on time.
Compliance and Quality Assurance:
- Ensure all BOQs and cost estimates comply with relevant industry standards and regulations.
- Conduct quality checks to ensure all materials and services meet project specifications.
Team Collaboration:
- Collaborate with architects, interior designers, project managers, and other team members to ensure alignment on project goals and budgets.
- Provide guidance and support to junior estimators and other team members as needed.
