Job roles & responsibilities
- Monitor and assess newborn infants in the NICU, including vital signs, respiratory status, and neurological development
- Administer treatments and medications as prescribed by physicians, including respiratory support, IV medications, and nutrition
- Collaborate with neonatologists, nurses, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans for each infant
- Provide emotional support and education to parents on newborn care, feeding techniques, and developmental milestones
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, including assessments, interventions, and outcomes
- Respond to emergencies and provide immediate interventions as needed
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and research projects to improve patient outcomes and NICU practices
- Adhere to hospital policies, protocols,



and safety standards at all times
- Stay updated on advancements in neonatal care through continuing education and professional development activities
- Foster a compassionate and supportive environment for infants, families, and team members in the NICU
