Job Description: Master Data Management Lead

Reports To: Head of IT / Head of AI & Digital Transformation

Position Summary
The Master Data Management (MDM) Lead will be responsible for establishing and owning the end-to-end master data governance framework for the organization. This role will design, implement, and enforce the processes, controls, and tools required to ensure master data across the business is accurate, complete, consistent, and fit for purpose. The MDM Lead will act as the single point of accountability for the quality of all master data domains, including but not limited to Item/Material Master, Customer Master, Vendor/Supplier Master, Resource Master, Bill of Materials (BOM), and Routing, across manufacturing, supply chain, sales, and finance functions.

Key Responsibilities
1. Governance Framework & Strategy
Design and implement a comprehensive Master Data Governance framework, including policies, standards, roles, and responsibilities (RACI) across all data domains.
Define and document data ownership and stewardship models,



identifying business data owners and stewards for each master data domain.
Establish a Data Governance Council/Committee and run periodic governance forums to review data quality metrics, escalations, and policy changes.
Define master data lifecycle processes (create, change, deactivate/archive) with appropriate approval workflows for each domain.

2. Master Data Domain Ownership
Own end-to-end quality, structure, and standardization of the following domains:
Item/Material Master – raw materials, packaging, intermediates, finished goods (including formulation/active ingredient attributes, UOM, batch/shelf-life parameters)
Customer Master – including credit terms, distribution channel classification, customer classification, reconciliation account, geographical hierarchy, customer owner etc
Vendor/Supplier Master – including qualification status, compliance certifications, payment terms
