Job Description: Senior Mainframe Developer/ IT Support (AMF) – Technical Lead (Exp: 8 - 12 years)

We are seeking a highly skilled and talented senior Mainframe developer to join our team as a Technical Lead who is involved in the development part of projects & evolutive maintenance, as well as giving support and problem solving. This includes writing new functionality and extending existing code for Cluster AM Belgium.

6 years of experience in a similar role.
Seniority of 6 years of relevant and proven experience on an IBM z/OS Mainframe environment
Proficient knowledge on the following technologies : PL/I, Cool: Gen (Broadcom), IMS/DC & IMS/DB, MFS, DB2, JCL and MQ-Series
Proven usage of debugging, testing & release management tools on IBM z/OS Mainframe
Usage of Service Now as Incident & problem mgmnt tool
Followed by a support, be able to handle the fact that 80% of the current documentation is in Dutch, as well as the variables and parameters used in the coding
Proficient level of English (reading, writing and speaking)




Able to write new and extend existing code in a project and evolutive maintenance mode
Able to write transactional and batch applications
ITIL trained / certified

Roles & Responsibilities

Delivery of applications

Good comprehension of the business flow behind the applications (MES & Supply Chain related business)
Technical design of the application
Technical design of the database
Coding reliable, performant & well-structured applications
Complying with general quality & performance rules, as well as adhering to AMBe standards
Able to write transactional and batch applications Performing unit, integration and end-to-end testing
Delivery of complete documentation
Release management of the application up-to production & hyper-care
All above points in project or evolutive maintenance mode – by writing new and extending existing code
