Position: Geospatial Developer

Employment Type: Contract

Contract Duration: (6 months, extendable)

Location: Remote

Work Schedule: 8am to 5pm PHT

Primary Responsibilities

The role focuses on maintaining and enhancing Enterprise Geospatial Information System (EGIS), including:

- Developing and maintaining geospatial applications and APIs.
- Automating ArcGIS/Esri workflows using Python and ArcPy.
- Integrating ArcGIS Online/Enterprise with AWS and Azure.
- Designing multi-cloud geospatial solutions.
- Working with both Esri and open-source GIS technologies.
- Optimizing spatial databases and geospatial services.
- Creating a Geo-Marketspace for reusable APIs, scripts, and services.
- Producing technical documentation and training materials.

Required Technical Skills

The ideal candidate should have:

- 7+ years of GIS application development experience.
- Robust Python skills (GeoPandas, Shapely, Rasterio, GDAL, Fiona, ArcPy).
- JavaScript mapping libraries (Leaflet, OpenLayers, Mapbox GL JS, ArcGIS JS API).
- ArcGIS Enterprise, ArcGIS Server, ArcGIS Online, ArcGIS Pro.
- Open-source GIS stack (PostGIS, GeoServer, QGIS).




- AWS and Azure cloud experience.
- API development and automation.
- PostgreSQL/PostGIS.
- Django/GeoDjango.
- Microservices and REST APIs.
- CI/CD and Azure DevOps.
- OGC standards (WMS, WFS, WMTS, WPS).

Nice-to-Have Skills

- Cloud-native geospatial formats (COG, STAC, GeoParquet, Zarr)
- Event-driven architecture
- Microsoft Graph API
- Datadog
- Agile/Product Management
- AI prompting experience

Education

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, GIS, Geomatics, IT, or related field.
- Master's degree preferred.
