Position - Fabricator Designer for refrigerated transport Location - Mumbai Salary - 50K TO 1lac Per Month Position Overview - We are seeking a skilled and innovative Fabricator Designer to join our cold chain transport team The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing fabricating and customizing refrigerated transport units including reefer containers and mounted chassis solutions This role requires strong technical expertise in fabrication knowledge of reefer container design and the ability to ensure high-quality durable and compliant cold chain transport solutions Coordination with vendors adherence to quality standards and efficient project timelines are critical to this role Roles Responsibilities Fabrication Fabricate and assemble refrigerated transport units reefer containers insulated panels and structural components Specialize in fabrication of containers specifically reefer containers ensuring durability and industry compliance Mount fabricated containers onto truck chassis ensuring proper alignment load distribution and reinforcement Work with sheet metal steel aluminum and composite materials to build robust cold chain transport solutions Operate fabrication tools and machinery welding cutting bending drilling grinding etc Conduct repairs modifications retrofitting and preventive maintenance on reefer units and transport bodies Ensure all fabrication work meets safety quality and statutory standards Design Create and develop innovative designs for refrigerated transport vehicles reefer containers and cold storage units Prepare technical drawings using CAD software AutoCAD SolidWorks etc Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to design effective cooling insulation and airflow systems Improve designs for better durability performance energy efficiency and cost-effectiveness Prepare prototypes mock-ups BOQ Bill of Quantities and list of items required for fabrication and mounting Coordination Quality Arrange all spares fabrication items accessories insulation material hardware and mechanical components required for container fabrication and chassis mounting Coordinate with vendors suppliers and contractors for material procurement and outsourced fabrication Ensure stock availability of essential items and manage BOQ-level planning Maintain proper documentation of materials design changes and fabrication processes Quality Timeline Management Ensure strict adherence to quality standards during fabrication assembly and mounting processes Monitor quality standards and processes followed by external vendors Maintain project timelines and ensure on-time delivery of fabricated and designed components Conduct inspections and quality checks at various stages material mid-process and final output Maintain accurate records of designs fabrication work modifications and vendor performance Qualifications Diploma Degree in Mechanical Engineering Fabrication Industrial Design or related field 3-6 years of experience in fabrication and design preferably in cold chain reefer transport or logistics body fabrication Proficiency in CAD tools AutoCAD SolidWorks and MS Office Strong knowledge of fabrication techniques material properties and welding methods Experience in reefer container fabrication and truck-mounted reefer design is a strong advantage Key Competencies Expertise in fabrication container body-building and industrial design Strong problem-solving and analytical skills Creativity and innovation in engineering and design solutions Attention to detail and adherence to high-quality standards Efficient project management and ability to meet timelines Strong coordination skills with vendors suppliers and internal teams Reliability accountability and integrity Interested candidates can email their resumes on humanresources crystalgroup in Job Types Full-time Permanent Pay 50 274 82 - 90 270 21 per month Advantages Provident Fund Experience transport fabrication and design 4 years Required Work Location In person
