AI-First Future-Driven Human-Centered At OpenText AI is at the heart of everything we do powering innovation transforming work and empowering digital knowledge workers We re hiring talent that AI can t replace to help us shape the future of information management Join us Your Impact We are part of the Infrastructure Platform Engineering team responsible for building and maintaining secure scalable and highly available Linux-based environments Our focus is on delivering a robust RHEL platform implementing enterprise-grade security controls and enabling application teams to run workloads efficiently in containerized environments with full observability We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically proficient RHEL DevOps Engineer to join our team This role is critical in ensuring secure RHEL OS configurations automating containerized deployments and implementing end-to-end monitoring with Prometheus and Grafana to keep our systems healthy and reliable What the role offers o Administer configure and maintain RHEL-based systems across development staging and production environments o Build test and deploy custom RHEL packages kernels and OS modules as required o Define and enforce RHEL security policies SELinux firewalld auditd and harden systems according to CIS Benchmarks or STIG standards o Automate OS provisioning patch management and compliance checks using Ansible or other tools o Deploy and manage containerized applications using Docker Podman and Kubernetes OpenShift o Monitor infrastructure health and performance using Prometheus Grafana and Alertmanager o Design implement and maintain observability dashboards and alerts to proactively detect system issues o Troubleshoot and resolve OS container and performance-related incidents in production environments o Collaborate with DevOps Security and Application teams to ensure compliance reliability and scalability of infrastructure What you need to succeed o Bachelor s degree in Computer Science Information Security or a related field o 5-8 years of experience in RHEL system administration OS development or platform engineering o Solid understanding of RHEL internals SELinux firewalld audit logs and systemd services o Hands-on experience with container technologies Docker Podman and orchestration platforms Kubernetes OpenShift o Proficiency in monitoring solutions Prometheus setup Grafana dashboard creation and alert tuning o Familiarity with scripting and automation tools Bash Python Ansible o Knowledge of security hardening standards CIS NIST STIG and vulnerability management o Strong troubleshooting skills in production environments o Excellent communication and documentation abilities o Preferred RHCSA RHCE certification experience with CI CD pipelines and exposure to cloud environments AWS GCP Azure OpenText s efforts to build an inclusive work environment go beyond simply complying with applicable laws Our Employment Equity and Diversity Policy provides direction on maintaining a working environment that is inclusive of everyone regardless of culture national origin race color gender gender identification sexual orientation family status age veteran status disability religion or other basis protected by applicable laws If you need assistance and or a reasonable accommodation due to a disability during the application or recruiting process please submit a ticket atAsk HR Our proactive approach fosters collaboration innovation and personal growth enriching OpenText s vibrant workplace
