- Mechanical Design Engineer 3 Years Experience Position Mechanical Design Engineer Department Design R D Engineering Role Summary The Mechanical Design Engineer will be responsible for creating improving and optimizing mechanical components and systems The role involves conceptual design 3D modeling detailed drafting material selection tolerance analysis prototyping support and ensuring manufacturability and quality The engineer will collaborate closely with manufacturing quality and cross-functional teams to deliver robust and cost-effective designs Key Responsibilities Develop 3D models and 2D detailed drawings using CAD tools SolidWorks Creo AutoCAD Inventor Perform conceptual design feasibility studies and design calculations Conduct tolerance stack-up analysis DFMEA and design validation checks Prepare BOMs Bill of Materials and engineering documentation Coordinate with suppliers and manufacturing teams for DFM Design for Manufacturability and design optimization Support prototype development testing and design improvements Analyze failures propose corrective actions and ensure continuous improvement Ensure designs meet applicable standards safety guidelines and customer specifications Participate in cross-functional reviews and present design concepts Manage multiple projects with respect to timelines quality and design revisions Required Skills Qualifications Bachelor s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent 4 years of experience in mechanical design or product development Proficiency in CAD software SolidWorks Creo Inventor AutoCAD Strong understanding of GD T engineering drawings and drafting standards Hands-on knowledge of manufacturing processes machining sheet metal injection molding casting composites etc Experience with CAE tools Ansys HyperMesh is an added advantage Strong analytical skills and ability to perform engineering calculations Knowledge of material properties industrial standards and quality requirements Good communication documentation and project coordination skills Preferred Experience Valuable to Have Exposure to new product development NPD Experience with PDM systems for data management Knowledge of FEA fundamentals and prototyping Experience working with cross-functional teams and vendors Work Location Senthampalayam Coimbatore Reporting to Design Manager Engineering Lead Job Type Full-time Pay 25 000 00 - 35 000 00 per month Application Question s What is your expected take home salary Are you proficient in Solid works What is your notice period Experience Design 2 years Required
