Technology Centre is currently looking for a Senior Manufacturing Engineer to join their team in Bangalore India This position will focus on supporting the Boeing Global Services BGS business organization As a Manufacturing Engineer you will be part of a global team working on providing ME solutions for a wide range of Boeing products and services across the world The Manufacturing Engineering ME function is responsible for translating design definitions into physical products ME activities span the life cycle of a product including but not limited to understanding design requirements raw materials fabrication sequence of build quality and validation of the final product A successful candidate should be able to provide production engineering build architecture expertise that advances production technologies and supports the long-term vision of the company and the engineering and scientific communities The candidate will advance design processes and link business planning strategy to product definition and development They will develop and author new engineering principles theories advanced technologies and concepts The candidate will influence standards applications tools and processes related to producibility assessment dimensional management and the use of producibility methodologies in design build concept development They will develop document and communicate producibility best practices as well as develop and recommend solutions to complex problems The candidate will also develop advanced design solutions and conduct independent research that results in new product or business opportunities consulting industry-wide on lean principles and technologies In this role the candidate is expected to lead a team of Manufacturing Engineers in the preparation of building plan artifacts tooling reviews engineering analysis authoring work instructions and managing the manufacturing bill of materials The incumbent should have a good understanding of aerospace manufacturing processes aerospace materials and interpreting design definitions The position offers opportunities to work closely with US spares engineering groups manufacturability for complex manufacturing processes Mentor peers to develop team capabilities Initiate assignments and determine and pursue courses of action necessary to obtain desired results Work is checked through consultation and agreement with others rather than formal review by a superior Work on unusually complex technical problems and provide solutions that are highly innovative and ingenious Serve as an organizational spokesperson on advanced projects and programs Act as an advisor to management and customers on advanced technical research studies Develop advanced technical ideas and guide their development into final products Erroneous decisions or recommendations could typically result in failure to achieve critical organizational objectives and affect the organization to the team during project execution Mentor and develop the team on emergent skill requirements Mentor the team on relevant industry standards and best practices Lead the implementation of lean principles and technologies Interface with Integrated Product Teams and internal customers to develop products skills knowledge and experience Resolve technical problems of significant impact on performance cost or schedule Participate in Integrated Product Teams IPTs to integrate technical solutions across multiple subject areas Coordinate training and capability development for the BGS ME team Basic Qualifications Required Skills Experience Bachelor s Degree or higher in engineering is required as Basic Qualification 16 years of work experience in aerospace manufacturing 7 years of experience leading a team of manufacturing engineers Experience with creation of manufacturing planning and authoring assembly work instructions Ability to read understand and interpret engineering drawings and specifications Working knowledge with ME execution systems CAPP MES Strong written oral and Business presentation and interpersonal communication skills Be fluent in written and spoken English and familiar with MS Office tools Preferred Qualifications Desired Skills Experience Bachelor s Degree or equivalent in Mechanical Production Aerospace Engineering is preferred Candidate should have hands-on experience with Manufacturing and assembly processes Proficient with GD T Typical Education Experience Education experience typically acquired through advanced education e g Bachelor and typically 16 or more years related work experience e g Masters 15 years experience Relocation This position does offer relocation within INDIA Applications for this position will be
