It s not everyday that you consider starting a new career challenge We re RingCentral a global leader in cloud-based communications and collaboration software We are fundamentally changing the nature of human interaction giving people the freedom to connect powerfully and personally from anywhere at any time on any device We re a 2 billion company that s growing at 30 annually and we re expanding our Solutions Engineering Team to make sure we stay ahead of the competition Department Engineering - PBX Engineering Team Primary Responsibilities Lead the design development and automation of Server Side Telco components of RingCentral s Phone solution to meet business requirements and satisfy top-grade stability and quality standards Lead and manage a scrum team of developers and automation engineers providing technical guidance and mentorship Implement best practices for software development data management and system integration This is a hands-on role with individual contributions apart from leading the team actively participating in daily coding and code reviews Provide technical expertise and support for Teleco-related projects and initiatives Partner with Product Team and business stakeholders in solution design and troubleshooting of problem escalations Manage the execution of implementation plans from inception to successful completion ensuring transparent status reporting Collaborate closely with cross-functional Project and Program Managers throughout all phases of the initiatives Maintain high standards of quality in product documentation Ensure that product documentation remains clear comprehensive and up-to-date Minimum Qualifications Education and Experience 12 years of experience in developing complex distributed systems Min 2 years of experience in leading a small team of developers Strong Hands-on experience in developing cloud based backend services using modern C 11 14 17 or later Linux open source libraries etc Hands-on experience on deploying code on public cloud services AWS Azure GCP using container technologies docker k8s Valuable understanding of Networking and TCP UDP protocols troubleshooting Experience in telephony VoIP or real-time systems Strong grasp of algorithms data structures and network communication Proven experience in building distributed high-performance systems Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of SDLC best practices and techniques Understanding of Agile development methodologies Scrum Kanban Preferred Experience with cloud technologies Prior experience with India-based engineering teams This role is ideal for a technical leader who excels in software design team mentorship and cross-functional collaboration
