A Site Supervisor in civil engineering is responsible for overseeing the construction of projects ensuring they are completed on time within budget and to the required quality standards They act as the point of contact on-site coordinating activities among workers subcontractors and other stakeholders and ensuring compliance with safety regulations and building codes Key Responsibilities Supervision and Coordination Oversee all aspects of the construction process including labour subcontractors materials and equipment ensuring efficient workflow Safety Management Implement and enforce safety regulations and procedures ensuring the safety of all personnel on the site Quality Control Monitor the quality of work to ensure it meets the project s specifications and standards Communication Communicate effectively with project managers clients and other stakeholders to update on progress and address any issues Problem Solving Identify and resolve problems that may arise on the construction site ensuring the project remains on schedule and within budget Documentation Maintain accurate records of work completed materials used and other relevant information Training and Development May provide on-the-job training to workers and other staff helping them develop their skills Skills and Qualifications Experience 2-3 years of experience in construction management or a related field is usually required Technical Skills Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints construction plans and specifications Leadership and Supervisory Skills Ability to lead motivate and manage a team of workers Communication Skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders Problem-Solving Skills Ability to identify and solve problems on the construction site Safety Knowledge Robust understanding of safety regulations and procedures Knowledge of Construction Methods and Materials Familiarity with various construction techniques and materials used in civil engineering Computer Proficiency Ability to use project management software and other relevant computer applications Analytical Skills Ability to analyze data and identify areas for improvement Qualifications Bachelor s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field Master s degree is a plus 1 to 3 years of relevant experience in the construction industry Strong knowledge of construction methods materials and regulations Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail Effective communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Job Type Full-time Work Location In person
