Project Role Application Support Engineer Project Role Description Act as software detectives provide a dynamic service identifying and solving issues within multiple components of critical business systems Must have skills Vmware Virtualization Administration Good to have skills NA Minimum 3 year s of experience is required Educational Qualification 15 years full time education Summary As an Application Support Engineer you will act as software detectives providing a energetic service that identifies and resolves issues within various components of critical business systems Your typical day will involve collaborating with team members to troubleshoot problems analyzing system performance and ensuring the smooth operation of applications that are vital to business functions You will engage with users to understand their challenges and work diligently to implement effective solutions all while maintaining a focus on service excellence and operational efficiency Roles Responsibilities - Expected to be an SME -Deploy configure and maintain VMware vSphere environments ESXi vCenter -Monitor performance and health of virtual infrastructure and perform proactive capacity planning -Configure and manage clustering HA DRS vMotion and Storage vMotion -Administer and maintain datastores LUNs networking and VM templates -Conduct patching upgrades and lifecycle management of VMware components -Support disaster recovery strategies and manage VM backups and restores -Troubleshoot issues related to VM performance host failures and storage latency -Implement automation scripts using PowerCLI Python or Ansible -Collaborate with network storage and security teams to ensure end-to-end system relia -Participate in cloud migration efforts or manage hybrid infrastructure with VMware Cloud services -Maintain documentation including infrastructure diagrams SOPs and configuration log -Ensure adherence to ITIL processes change management and security standards Professional Technical Skills - Must To Have Skills Proficiency in VMware Virtualization Administration - Experience with cloud infrastructure management - Strong understanding of application lifecycle management - Familiarity with scripting languages for automation - Ability to troubleshoot and resolve virtualization issues -Virtualization-VMware vSphere ESXi vCenter vMotion DRS HA -Experience administering VMware vSphere 6 x 7 x 8 x -Expertise in managing ESXi hosts vCenter Server VM templates clustering and DRS HA -Experience in VM provisioning resource management snapshot management and VM migration vMotion Storage vMotion -Strong understanding of datastore and storage configuration iSCSI NFS Fibre Channel -Familiarity with VMware Update Manager VUM and patch lifecycle management -Experience in performance tuning troubleshooting and log analysis -Exposure to backup and recovery solutions e g Veeam Commvault Dell Avamar -Understanding of security hardening and compliance within VMware environments -Need to work in 24 7 shifts Additional Information - The candidate should have minimum 3 years of experience in VMware Virtualization Administration - This position is based at our Bengaluru office - A 15 years full time education is required 15 years full time education
