Analyst will oversee and help safeguard the enterprise on-premises cloud and hybrid environments This role ensures secure remote connectivity optimizes security controls and supports cloud-based security platforms The candidate will bring a strategic mindset to risk mitigation policy refinement and user-centric enablement Outstanding written and verbal communication skills are required The ideal candidate will drive automation process improvements to address emerging threats Key Responsibilities Analyze firewall configurations audit for overprovisioned access stale objects or other deficiencies Develop and oversee action plans for refinements in firewall configurations to align with vendor or general security best practices improving effectiveness to counter evolving threat landscapes Govern remote connectivity solutions e g VPN SASE ensuring secure ingress and compliance with access control policies Oversee the configuration and lifecycle of network appliances to ensure alignment with architectural standards scalability and long-term maintainability Provide operational support ensuring secure Internet access and Cloud Access Security Broker CASB platforms Collaborate with SOC teams to investigate anomalies respond to incidents and contribute to continuous improvement of detection capabilities Maintain detailed records of security configurations changes and recommendations Work closely with infrastructure application and compliance teams to ensure security standards are maintained and embedded across all layers of the technology stack Conduct continuous assessments and verify appropriate controls are maintained across on-premises and cloud environments Detect report and provide oversight over end-of-life hardware and software Continually improve network security programs including policies procedures and tools for continuous monitoring and remediation capabilities Create and maintain metrics dashboards and reports on trends remediation progress and program effectiveness for senior leadership Drive automation initiatives for scanning reporting and compliance checks to enhance efficiency and scalability Maintain awareness of industry trends emerging threats and best practices recommending enhancements to security controls and tools Management Responsibilities Individual Contributor Preferred Qualifications Education Bachelor s degree in Computer Science Information Security Cybersecurity or a related field or equivalent experience Relevant certifications such as CISSP CCNA CCNP PCNSA PCNSE AZ-500 AZ-305 are highly desirable All applicants must be able to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements if selected which may include any all of the following criminal civil background check drug screen and motor vehicle records search in compliance with any applicable laws and regulations Experience 5 years in network security operations with hands-on experience in firewall management remote access technologies and cloud security platforms Proven track record of implementing and tuning security controls in enterprise environments Skills Deep understanding of network protocols firewall architectures and secure remote access technologies Understanding of public cloud network architecture and security controls A firm understanding of the cybersecurity threats in today s world Familiarity with cloud security models and tools e g CASB SWG ZTNA Robust analytical and troubleshooting skills with a proactive and creative approach to problem-solving Ability to translate technical findings into business-relevant recommendations Excellent written and verbal communication skills and a collaborative mindset Analytical skills for risk assessment data enrichment and trend analysis Curiosity to dig for root causes and find creative solutions to complex problems Experience with scripting and automation languages e g Python PowerShell for process optimization and integration Familiarity with threat intelligence
