Summary Join our world class Product Definition team that delivers designs and definitions for upgrade solutions to existing fleet of Gas and Steam Turbines The incumbent Engineer - Product Definition will be responsible for delivering Product Definition scope of Gas and Steam Turbine accessory systems with highest quality and with sense of urgency The individual is also expected to adhere to set processes and contribute to delivering business KPIs Roles and Responsibilities Own product definition scope for Accessory systems in Heavy Duty Gas turbines to deliver 3D models arrangement drawings Bills of materials with immaculate quality while adhering to timelines Ensure all interface and interference characteristics between components are established and agreed upon by the designers of adjacent systems Proactively and effectively communicate progress status risk needed inputs and target release dates to stakeholders Apply Lean principles in daily management and strive for continuous improvement Utilize applicable PLM system Enovia Team Center to manage and issue product definition data Manage concurrent Engineering processes understand input from the different engineering disciplines Provide design support to cross-functional teams to improve or resolve design manufacturing supplier or field issues Ensure proper documentation of technical data generated to substantiate the assigned components assembly processes and or systems is consistent with design policies and procedures Work within the guidelines of applicable GE Vernova Policies and Procedures Engineering Standards Design Customer Operating Procedures Specifications Government and Commercial Standards and special security requirements Contribute to organizational initiatives like Cost out productivity quality and continuous improvements Continually learn and apply the latest techniques relative to CAD software Data Management Systems DMS and MBE Model Based Enterprise Required Qualifications Bachelor s Degree Mechanical and related streams 2-5 years experience in design field with strong expertise in NX Unigraphics Robust experience in working with large assemblies part and arrangement level drawing definitions Knowledge of manufacturing processes capabilities and assembly procedures Demonstrated expertise in UG NX and Teamcenter Desired Characteristics Basic knowledge on Power plant components and its functioning Working knowledge of plant design software like AVEVA E3D or Smartplant Knowledge of Piping standards like ASME B31 1 Power Piping ASME B31 3 Process piping and Welding Practices Experience in accessories engineering design and or accessories product or process experience Strong written and oral communication skills Ability to assertively communicate to Senior Leadership Demonstrated ability to delegate and follow-up Strong team player with the ability to effectively work under stringent timelines Focus on ownership accountability and sense of urgency Experience in Model Based Product Definition PLM expertise with ENOVIA or Team Center Engineering for internal candidates This is a PB2 position Additional Information Relocation Assistance Provided Yes
