Hiring | Senior Legal Counsel South Asia & Corporate Legal (1-Year Contract)

We are hiring an experienced Senior Legal Counsel for a 1-year contract with a leading global manufacturing organization. This is a strategic legal leadership role supporting business operations across the South Asia region , while also contributing to global corporate legal initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide legal advice on a wide range of commercial agreements, including customer, supplier, procurement, service, and operational contracts.
- Partner with business teams to identify legal risks and provide practical, business-oriented legal solutions.
- Advise on statutory and regulatory compliance, ensuring adherence to applicable laws and governance requirements.
- Support corporate governance activities, including board matters, entity management, and compliance with internal governance frameworks.
- Provide legal support for mergers, acquisitions, restructuring, and other strategic corporate transactions.
- Drive ethics, compliance, privacy, and governance initiatives in collaboration with internal stakeholders and external legal advisors.
- Manage pre-litigation matters and coordinate with external counsel on legal disputes and litigation.




- Strengthen legal operations by developing contract templates, negotiation playbooks, and supporting contract lifecycle management initiatives.
- Liaise with regulatory authorities and government agencies on matters relevant to the business.

Ideal Candidate

- Qualified lawyer with 15+ years of post-qualification experience (PQE) .
- Experience across both law firms and in-house legal roles is preferred.
- Background in manufacturing, chemicals, pharmaceuticals, industrial products, or related sectors .
- Strong expertise in commercial contracts, corporate law, compliance, corporate governance, and dispute management.
- Exposure to M&A; transactions, legal operations, and compliance programs will be an added advantage.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to provide commercially sound legal advice while working effectively with cross-functional teams.
