JOB DESCRIPTION We have an opportunity to impact your career and provide an adventure where you can push the limits of what s possible As a Lead Software Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within Corporate Technology you play a vital role in an agile team dedicated to enhancing building and delivering reliable market-leading technology products that are secure stable and scalable As a key technical contributor you will be responsible for implementing essential technology solutions across diverse technical domains supporting various business functions to achieve the firm s strategic goals Job responsibilities Executes creative software solutions design development and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problems Develops secure high-quality production code and reviews and debugs code written by others Identifies opportunities to eliminate or automate remediation of recurring issues to improve overall operational stability of software applications and systems Leads evaluation sessions with external vendors startups and internal teams to drive outcomes-oriented probing of architectural designs technical credentials and applicability for use within existing systems and information architecture Leads communities of practice across Software Engineering to drive awareness and use of new and leading-edge technologies Adds to team culture of diversity opportunity inclusion and respect Required qualifications capabilities and skills Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5 years applied experience Minimum of 8 years of total experience with significant experience in software architecture Ability to be hands-on with development tasks 70 of the time while leading and mentoring a team of developers 30 of the time Proficiency in Java for backend development Experience with AWS services for cloud computing and deployment Frontend development skills with React or Angular Experience with relational databases Postgres Oracle Aurora etc Robust understanding and experience in designing developing and deploying microservices Ability to work closely with architects on both high-level and low-level design aspects In-depth knowledge of AWS services such as EC2 SQS ECS EKS S3 Experience with OpenSearch or ElasticSearch for search and analytics capabilities Preferred qualifications capabilities and skills Terraform Experience with No-SQL databases Knowledge in leveraging AI tools like Codeium and Copilot to enhance development efficiency and productivity ABOUT US
