DESCRIPTION AWS Sales Marketing and Global Services SMGS is responsible for driving revenue adoption and growth from the largest and fastest growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level Architect SA is someone with solid business and technical acumen who is focused on helping our EdTech and Public sector customers build solutions on AWS As an EdTech SA you will be part of a team focused on increasing adoption of Amazon Web Services in the Education Technology EdTech market As a solutions architect you will provide a consistent approach for customers and partners to evaluate architectures and implement designs that will scale over time based on five pillars of the AWS Well-Architected Framework operational excellence security reliability performance efficiency and cost optimization Key job responsibilities 1 establish technical credibility in sales cycles for Amazon platforms technologies and the company by collaborating with the sales team to win new business 2 capture and convey best practices and provide prescriptive guidance around application and systems design on the Amazon platforms and technologies via direct customer and partner interaction development of technical content events evangelism training and operational event support and 3 help drive the evolution of the Amazon platforms and technologies by providing direct input and feedback from the field to the engineering teams developing these offerings Finally tenured team members are tasked with recruiting hiring and developing top SA talent managing and applying that resource in a areas e g software development cloud computing systems engineering infrastructure security networking data analytics experience 2 years of design implementation or consulting in applications and infrastructures experience 7 years of IT development or implementation consulting in the software or Internet industries experience PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Experience working within software development or Internet-related industries and experience migrating or transforming legacy customer solutions to the cloud Experience working with AWS technologies from a dev ops perspective in
