Purpose of Position Responsible for the mechanical maintenance of GVRI Coimbatore plant equipment to ensure optimal equipment availability for production and readiness to handle any emergency situations Key Responsibilities Perform mechanical maintenance of GVRI Plant Machinery including HMC VMC SPM fire hydrant systems compressors etc Repair refurbish and supervise facility installations as required Adhere strictly to Environment Health and Safety EHS norms at the worksite Manage consumables spares wear parts and ensure FIFO First In First Out practices maintain items in safe locations Minimize outsourcing by maximizing in-house maintenance capabilities Participate in Kaizen activities related to maintenance work Maintain water treatment facilities including STP ETP DM and RO systems Execute preventive maintenance as per scheduled plans Attend to breakdown maintenance promptly to reduce downtime Maintain stock and hand tools and prepare monthly and yearly reports Follow up on EHS permits and conduct fire hydrant system testing Complete assigned tasks on time with high quality standards Relationships Report to Lead Technician for smooth coordination of maintenance activities Coordinate with all plant technicians to ensure seamless maintenance operations Measures of Performance Machine efficiency metrics including Mean Time Between Failures MTBF Mean Time To Repair MTTR and overall machine availability Accurate and timely maintenance of departmental activity records Background and Skills ITI or Diploma in Mechanical Maintenance Proficient in MS Office applications Knowledge of TPM Total Productive Maintenance 5S methodology and troubleshooting techniques Personal Traits Sound technical knowledge in mechanical maintenance and plant machinery Proactive and solution-oriented approach Effective management of spares and consumables Scope and Impact of Position Responsibilities Reduce machine breakdowns and improve overall machine availability to support continuous production Job Types Full time Contractual Temporary Pay 9 896 54 - 36 528 91 per month Benefits Food provided Paid sick time Schedule Rotational shift Work Location In person
