Our client is bidding for work on the Dubai Metro Stations Flood Protection Measures And Operational Headway Improvement Package 2 and they are seeking suitably qualified and experienced candidates for the role of Testing Commissioning Engineer Mechanical Job Summary The Testing Commissioning Engineer - Mechanical is responsible for the planning execution supervision and documentation of mechanical testing and commissioning activities associated with Traction Power Supply System facilities including substations switching stations and control buildings The role ensures that all mechanical systems - such as HVAC fire protection ventilation drainage plumbing and other building services - are installed tested and commissioned in compliance with the approved design international standards and Dubai authority regulations Key Responsibilities Plan and execute testing commissioning of mechanical systems in TPSS buildings e g substations control rooms Oversee HVAC firefighting ventilation plumbing and drainage system installations and functional testing Ensure systems are commissioned in compliance with approved drawings method statements and standards ASHRAE NFPA SMACNA Review and implement Inspection Test Plans ITPs checklists and commissioning procedures Coordinate with electrical civil and SCADA teams for integrated testing and system readiness Liaise with client representatives and local authorities RTA DCD DEWA for inspections and approvals Prepare and maintain all test documentation reports as-built records and handover packages Identify and close mechanical-related punch list and snag items Support energization activities and participate in Integrated System Testing IST Ensure secure timely and compliant commissioning of all mechanical systems Job Requirements Bachelor s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent Additional certification in Testing Commissioning or MEP systems preferred 10 years of experience in management of works of a similar nature as applicable to the designated position
