Job Title VTL OperatorJob Location Insert Location Department Production Machine ShopReports To Production Supervisor Machine Shop In-ChargeJob Purpose To operate and maintain Vertical Turning Lathe VTL machines for precision machining of components as per drawings and quality standards Key Responsibilities Set up and operate VTL machines to perform turning boring facing grooving and threading operations Interpret engineering drawings process sheets and job orders Perform machine setting tool selection and offset adjustments as per job requirements Check dimensions and surface finish using measuring instruments Vernier micrometer bore gauge dial gauge etc Maintain required tolerances and quality standards during machining Carry out routine preventive maintenance of machine tools and accessories Record daily production reports and inform supervisor about deviations Ensure safe working practices and maintain cleanliness around the machine Collaborate with the quality team to resolve machining-related issues Requirements Education ITI Diploma in Turner Machinist or Mechanical trade Experience Fresher Basic knowledge of turning operations and willingness to learn VTL operations Experienced 2-5 years of hands-on experience in VTL machine operation manual or CNC Skills Competencies Knowledge of machine shop practices and cutting tools Ability to read engineering drawings and use precision measuring instruments Understanding of cutting speeds feeds and machining parameters Good problem-solving and troubleshooting skills Discipline in following safety and quality procedures Job Type Full-time Pay 14 000 00 - 20 000 00 per month Advantages Provident Fund Shift availability Day Shift Preferred Work Location In person
