Key Responsibilities Provide individual and group counseling to patients dealing with acute or chronic medical conditions trauma terminal illness or post-operative recovery Support patients and their families in adjusting to diagnoses treatment plans and hospitalization Conduct psychosocial assessments develop intervention plans and maintain progress notes in accordance with hospital policy Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams physicians nurses social workers psychologists etc to integrate mental health support into patient care Offer crisis intervention and support during medical emergencies or high-stress situations e g ICU emergency palliative care units Educate patients and families on coping strategies stress management and community resources Refer patients to specialized mental health services when necessary e g psychiatrists addiction counselors Provide support to hospital staff during high-stress periods or after traumatic patient care events Participate in staff training wellness initiatives and patient care planning sessions Qualifications Education Master s degree in Psychology Counseling Social Work or related field from a recognized institution Licensure Certification Licensed or registered counselor therapist as per local regulations e g RCI registration in India LPC LMHC in the US etc Experience Minimum 2-5 years of counseling experience in a hospital or clinical healthcare setting Experience in working with patients facing chronic illness trauma grief or psychiatric comorbidities is highly preferred Skills Strong communication and interpersonal skills Empathy and active listening Crisis management and conflict resolution Ability to work in high-pressure environments Documentation and clinical reporting Team collaboration Interested Candidates Share Your CV (phone hidden) Job Type Full-time Advantages Provident Fund Work Location In person
