About the Job Purchase Manager At Tayal Co we empower our people to grow innovate and stay resilient in a constantly evolving world We re seeking individuals who are curious forward-thinking and passionate about making a meaningful impact With over 25 years of experience Tayal Co is a trusted partner to Indian Railways specializing in safety-critical engineering products passenger comfort solutions and advanced mobility technologies As we continue to expand we are looking for a dynamic and experienced Purchase Manager - Strategic Procurement to lead our procurement operations Key Responsibilities As Purchase Manager you will Develop and implement procurement strategies to support production requirements and long-term business goals Collaborate with leadership and cross-functional teams Production Planning Quality Finance to ensure systematic procurement budgeting and planning Build develop and manage long-term supplier relationships and key strategic partnerships Establish and maintain procurement policies procedures and best practices Oversee contract negotiations compliance and risk mitigation to protect company interests Drive current vendor development price negotiations and vendor onboarding for major cost-impacting purchases Lead mentor and guide the procurement team members at all levels to achieve organizational goals Monitor inventory levels and open purchase orders collaborating with Planning teams to align with demand forecasts Ensure timely and cost-effective sourcing of raw materials components and services Develop and maintain strong vendor partnerships ensuring collaboration and reliability Continuously monitor and improve vendor performance in terms of quality cost delivery and compliance Identify cost reduction opportunities and optimize the supply chain for efficiency Support supplier qualification audits and evaluations in line with quality and ISO standards Ensure compliance with procurement policies legal requirements and industry standards Drive adoption of digital procurement tools and e-sourcing platforms for efficiency Desired Skills Competencies Strong understanding of procurement processes supplier management and supply chain optimization Excellent negotiation analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to manage strategic sourcing contracts and supplier development Proficiency in e-procurement platforms ERP systems and MS Office tools Knowledge of railway automotive engineering industry materials such as electrical components mechanical assemblies cables harnesses transformers and outsourced parts Strong leadership with the ability to mentor guide and inspire teams Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills High integrity detail orientation and ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines Adaptability to changing business environments and ability to drive process improvements Qualifications Bachelor s degree in Engineering Supply Chain Management or related field MBA preferred 7-10 years of experience in procurement sourcing or supply chain management in manufacturing railway automotive or engineering sectors Proven track record of cost reduction vendor performance management and strategic sourcing Familiarity with ISO quality systems safety compliance and industry standards Experience in leading teams and handling large-scale procurement budgets Why Join Tayal Co At Tayal Co you ll be part of a forward-thinking organization where innovation meets responsibility We value diversity collaboration and continuous learning providing opportunities for both professional and personal growth This role is based in Mohali with occasional travel to supplier locations India international Job Type Full-time Pay 15 500 00 - 50 000 00 per month Benefits Food provided Health insurance Work Location In person
