Job Summary Operate and maintain a Plano Milling Machine to carry out precision machining operations on heavy workpieces as per drawings and specifications ensuring quality and safety standards are met Key Responsibilities Set up and operate Plano Milling Machine to machine flat surfaces slots grooves and other precision components Read and interpret engineering drawings job orders and work instructions Align and secure workpieces on the machine table using clamps vises or fixtures Select mount and align proper cutting tools and tool holders Adjust machine settings such as speed feed and depth of cut Monitor machining operations and make necessary adjustments to maintain dimensions and surface finish Inspect finished components using precision measuring instruments micrometers vernier calipers height gauges dial indicators etc Perform routine machine maintenance and minor repairs Maintain cleanliness and safety in the work area Follow all safety procedures and wear appropriate PPE Report any machine malfunctions or quality issues to the supervisor Maintain daily production logs and reports Requirements Qualification ITI Diploma in Machinist Fitter Mechanical or relevant trade Experience 2-5 years of experience operating Plano Milling Machines in a manufacturing or fabrication industry Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings Sound knowledge of machining practices and measuring instruments Understanding of safety procedures and best practices Physical stamina to handle heavy workpieces and stand for long periods Skills Good knowledge of cutting tools and machining parameters Basic troubleshooting and machine maintenance skills Attention to detail and quality-conscious approach Ability to work independently and as part of a team Job Types Full time Permanent Pay 25 000 00 - 30 000 00 per month Benefits Health insurance Leave encashment Provident Fund Work Location In person
