Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation (PM&E;) Officer
Location: Ahmedabad

Position Summary
The PM&E; Officer will be responsible for strengthening the organization's planning, monitoring, analysing secondary as well as primary data, policy analysis, results-based management and managing the organization's overall Management Information System (MIS). In addition, the incumbent will ensure timely and accurate collection of data, compilation, analysis, and reporting. The position will support program teams in planning, developing and analysing result matrixes, maintaining high-quality databases, developing reporting dashboards, generating analytical reports, and strengthening evidence-based planning and decision-making across projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and strengthen planning, monitoring, and evaluation frameworks, including Logical Frameworks (Log Frames), Results Frameworks, Performance Monitoring Plans (PMPs), and indicator tracking systems.
- Design robust data collection tools, manage databases, and oversee baseline, mid-term, and final evaluations
- Design, maintain, and manage project MIS databases and digital data collection systems. Ensure timely collection, validation, cleaning, and consolidation of data received from field teams.
- Monitor data quality and conduct regular data verification and validation exercises.
- Generate periodic reports, dashboards, and data summaries for internal review and donor reporting.
- Support project teams in in drafting, updating, and aligning annual work plans with organizational objectives as well as tracking key performance indicators and project targets.
- Coordinate with program staff to ensure timely reporting and address data-related issues.
- Train and provide technical support to field staff on data collection tools, MIS applications, and reporting formats.
- Support baseline, midline, endline surveys, assessments, and research activities through database management and data analysis.
- Prepare presentations, graphs, and analytical reports for management and external stakeholders.
- Coordinate with monitoring and evaluation teams to improve data quality and reporting systems.
- Perform any other data management and reporting responsibilities assigned by the organization.
- Prepare accurate, timely narrative and analytical reports for management, donors, and stakeholders
- Train staff and field enumerators on PM&E; methodologies and best practices
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Statistics, Data Science, Management, or a related discipline.
- Postgraduate qualification in Statistics, Social Sciences, is desirable.
- 2-5 years of progressive experience in M&E;, project cycle management, or program strategy MIS, data management, monitoring and evaluation, research and evaluation, or related roles, preferably in the development or non-profit sector.
- Strong analytical capabilities, excellent cross-cultural communication,
and meticulous attention to detail
- Experience of working in social sector health, nutrition, education, or community development projects will be an added advantage.
Required Skills
- Solid proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced formulas, Pivot Tables, Power Query, dashboards, and data visualization.
- Experience with Microsoft Access, SQL, or other database management systems.
- Proficiency in statistical software such as SPSS, STATA, R, or similar analytical tools.
- Experience with digital data collection platforms such as Kobo Toolbox, ODK, SurveyCTO, CommCare, or DHIS2.
- Sound understanding of monitoring and evaluation concepts, logical frameworks, indicator development, and results-based management.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to analyse and interpret data and translate findings into actionable recommendations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Hindi. Knowledge of Gujarati will be an added advantage.
- Ability to manage multiple assignments, meet deadlines, and work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Remuneration
