- Tertiary qualification or equivalent business/industry experience in a relevant discipline.
- 8+ years of handson experience with Azure Databricks.
- Demonstrated experience with the Microsoft Azure Data toolkit, Databricks Data Warehouse, Unity Catalog, and related products.
- Robust technical leadership experience in an agile environment.
- 5+ years handson experience with enterprise RDBMS such as Oracle and SQL Server.
- 5+ years experience in data modelling and data integration.
- Proven ability to enhance engineering maturity and apply engineering best practices.
- Strong communication, interpersonal and collaboration skills with both technical and nontechnical stakeholders.
- Preferred: Big data certifications (Azure/AWS/GCP), experience in energy/utilities, people leadership, data governance tools (e.g., Informatica), CI/CD engineering frameworks, and migration to big data platforms.
