Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced SAP BO Technical Consultant with robust expertise in SAP BusinessObjects (BO) and SAP ECC. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in developing and maintaining BusinessObjects reports, Universes, and dashboards while integrating data from SAP ECC modules. The candidate should possess strong SQL skills, data modeling knowledge, and experience in supporting enterprise reporting solutions.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and maintain SAP BusinessObjects reporting solutions.
- Develop and enhance Universes (UNX/UNV) using Information Design Tool (IDT) and Universe Design Tool (UDT).
- Create and maintain reports using Web Intelligence (WebI), Crystal Reports, and Analysis for Office.
- Integrate SAP BO with SAP ECC modules such as FI/CO, MM, SD, PP, and HCM.
- Gather reporting requirements from business users and translate them into technical solutions.
- Develop complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and database objects for reporting.




- Optimize report performance and troubleshoot reporting issues.
- Perform BO security administration, user management, and folder security.
- Support SAP BO platform upgrades, migrations, and patching activities.
- Schedule and manage reports using the Central Management Console (CMC).
- Collaborate with functional consultants, BASIS teams, and business stakeholders.
- Prepare technical documentation and provide production support.

Required Skills

- Strong experience in SAP BusinessObjects (BO) 4.x.
- Hands-on experience with SAP ECC integration and reporting.
- Expertise in Web Intelligence (WebI).
- Experience with Information Design Tool (IDT) and Universe Design Tool (UDT).
- Strong knowledge of SAP BusinessObjects Enterprise, CMC, and Central Management Server (CMS).
- Experience in Crystal Reports and Analysis for Office.
- Strong SQL and relational database knowledge (Oracle, SQL Server, SAP HANA).
- Experience in Universe design, data modeling, joins, contexts, and aliases.
- Knowledge of report scheduling, publication, and security management.
- Experience in troubleshooting BO performance and production support.
- Familiarity with SAP BW/BEx Queries is an added advantage.
- Understanding of SAP authorization concepts.

Preferred Skills

- Experience with SAP HANA and SAP BW/4HANA reporting.
- Knowledge of SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) or Datasphere is a plus.
- Experience in BO migration and upgrade projects.
- Exposure to ETL tools such as SAP Data Services or Informatica.
- Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.

Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- SAP BusinessObjects certification is preferred.
- SAP ECC functional knowledge is highly desirable.
