Hiring the Placement Officer for one of the leading Edu-Tech Company
Role & responsibilities
The Placement Officer is responsible for generating employment opportunities for final-year and alumni students by developing solid employer relationships within the Banking, Financial Services, and Insurance (BFSI) sector. The role involves sourcing local and national job vacancies, coordinating recruitment drives, counselling students for career opportunities, and ensuring successful placements and joining conversions.
Key Responsibilities
Employer Engagement & Business Development
- Develop and maintain relationships with BFSI employers, staffing firms, NBFCs, FinTech companies, insurance organizations, and recruitment agencies.
- Generate local and national hiring opportunities aligned with student profiles.
- Conduct regular employer meetings, presentations, and networking activities to expand the recruiter base.
- Identify emerging hiring trends and build strategic partnerships for recurring recruitment requirements.
Placement Management
- Source and publish suitable job opportunities for eligible students.
- Coordinate campus recruitment drives, virtual hiring events, walk-in interviews, and assessment processes.
- Schedule interviews and ensure seamless coordination between employers and students.
- Track vacancy fulfillment and ensure timely closure of hiring requirements.
Student Counselling & Placement Support
- Counsel students on career opportunities, job roles, salary expectations, career progression, and employer requirements.
- Motivate students to participate in placement activities and apply for relevant opportunities.
- Guide students on interview preparation, resume building, communication skills, and professional etiquette.
- Address student concerns and ensure high participation and placement conversion rates.
Joining & Post-Placement Support
- Coordinate with selected students until they successfully join the organization.
- Minimize offer dropouts through continuous engagement and counselling.
- Maintain regular follow-up with employers and candidates during the onboarding process.
- Collect placement records, joining confirmations, and employer feedback.
Reporting & MIS
- Maintain accurate placement databases, employer contacts, vacancy trackers, interview records, and joining reports.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly placement performance reports.
- Monitor placement KPIs and recommend strategies to improve placement outcomes.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Number of new employers onboarded.
- Number of job vacancies generated (Local & National).
- Selection-to-joining conversion percentage.
- Monthly student placement (Joining the employer)target
- Offer acceptance and joining ratio.
Preferred candidate profile
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Marketing, Commerce, or a related discipline.
- Master's degree preferred.
Experience
- 25 years of experience in Placement, Corporate Relations, Recruitment, Business Development, or HR, preferably within the BFSI sector or education/training industry.
Required Skills
