Job Description Area Sales Manager (Mumbai)

Location: Mumbai, Maharashtra, India

- Drive primary and secondary sales across the assigned territory by achieving monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets for the Personal Care product portfolio.
- Develop, appoint, and manage an efficient General Trade (GT) and Modern Trade (MT) distribution network to maximize market coverage and product availability.
- Build strong relationships with distributors, wholesalers, retailers, key accounts, and Up-to-date Trade chains to ensure sustainable business growth.
- Lead, coach, motivate, and monitor the Sales Officers, Territory Sales Executives, and Promoters to achieve sales objectives and productivity targets.
- Expand market penetration by identifying new business opportunities, opening new outlets, increasing numeric and weighted distribution, and improving retail visibility.
- Plan and execute trade promotions, in-store activations, merchandising initiatives, and retail marketing programs to increase brand visibility and sales.
- Monitor distributor performance, inventory levels,



stock rotation, order fulfillment, collections, and claim settlements to maintain healthy business operations.
- Analyze sales performance, market trends, competitor activities, pricing, and consumer insights, and recommend strategies to improve market share and profitability.
- Ensure effective implementation of sales policies, pricing strategies, trade schemes, merchandising standards, and company compliance across the assigned territory.
- Prepare accurate sales forecasts, territory plans, weekly reports, and MIS while maintaining sales data, market intelligence, and customer records.
- Coordinate with Marketing, Supply Chain, Finance, Customer Service, and Demand Planning teams to ensure timely product availability and successful execution of business plans.
- Recruit, train, develop, and retain high-performing sales talent while fostering a performance-driven culture focused on customer satisfaction, operational excellence, and profitable business growth.
