Role Summary

GM Modular is looking for highly skilled Senior ABAP Developer to join our SAP IT Team. You will play a key technical leadership role in designing, developing, optimizing, and delivering high-quality ABAP solutions primarily on SAP S/4HANA (Cloud), while helping the organization move towards Clean Core architecture and intelligent enterprise.

You will work closely with functional consultants, architects, business stakeholders, and offshore/onshore teams to translate complex business requirements into scalable, performant,

and maintainable technical solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and perform complex ABAP development across multiple SAP modules (especially SD, MM, FI, CO, PP, QM, WM/EWM, PM)

• Design & develop RICEFW objects (Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, Forms, Workflows)

• Strong hands-on experience in ABAP Objects (OO), CDS Views, AMDP, OData,RAP (RESTful ABAP Programming Model)

• Develop and extend SAP Fiori/UI5 applications (both classic and RAP-based)

• Implement S/4HANA technical conversion, custom code adaptation, and Clean Core

compliance

• Performance analysis & tuning of ABAP programs (SQL Trace, SAT, ST05, ATC,Code Inspector)

• Experience with BTP (Business Technology Platform) services Integration Suite,Extension Suite, Event Mesh (nice to have)

• Develop custom Fiori apps, OData V2/V4 services, CDS-based analytical queries

• Implement BAdIs, User-Exits, Enhancement Spots, Implicit/Explicit Enhancements

• Robust expertise in Debugging, Troubleshooting, Root Cause Analysis in production environments

• Participate in technical design reviews, code quality reviews, and estimation processes

• Mentor junior/mid-level developers and contribute to knowledge sharing sessions

• Support S/4HANA migration, upgrade projects, and E2E implementation rollouts





• Ensure high code quality, unit testing, transport management, and CI/CD readiness (DevOps for SAP abapGit, abapGitServer, etc.)

Qualifications & Experience

• 7-12+ years of strong hands-on SAP ABAP development experience

• Minimum 5 integration projects using integration suite with CPI.

• Minimum 3-5 years working on SAP S/4HANA projects (implementation / migration/ support)

• At least 3 full-cycle S/4HANA implementation or conversion project is highly preferred

• Bachelors / Masters degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering or related field

• SAP Certification (ABAP, S/4HANA, Fiori, RAP) strong advantage

• Excellent communication, stakeholder management & documentation skills

• Ability to work independently as well as lead small technical teams
