Role & responsibilities

- Manage end-to-end local and outstation dispatch operations.
- Plan daily dispatch schedules to ensure timely deliveries.
- Coordinate with transporters, warehouses, sales, and production teams.
- Resolve dispatch-related issues, delays, damages, shortages, and customer complaints.
- Identify and onboard reliable transport partners across India.
- Negotiate freight rates and implement logistics cost-saving initiatives.
- Continuously improve dispatch processes, vehicle utilization, and delivery efficiency.
- Verify, reconcile, and approve transporter invoices and freight bills.
- Monitor transporter performance through KPIs such as on-time delivery, freight cost, and claim rates.
- Ensure complete documentation, including LR, e-way bills, invoices, PODs, and other statutory documents.
- Develop logistics SOPs and ensure compliance by the dispatch team.
- Lead, train, and supervise the dispatch and logistics team.
- Generate periodic MIS reports on freight costs, transporter performance, delivery timelines,



and cost optimization opportunities.

Preferred candidate profile

- 6+ years of experience in logistics, dispatch, supply chain, or transportation.
- Experience in FMCG, food manufacturing, consumer goods, or manufacturing industries preferred.
- Strong knowledge of road transportation across India.
- Proven experience in freight negotiation and logistics cost optimization.
- Excellent problem-solving and vendor management skills.
- Hands-on experience with transporter billing and freight reconciliation.
- Good knowledge of e-way bills, GST logistics documentation, and dispatch processes.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems.
