About the Role

- We are looking for a Technical Lead who acts as a bridge between business and technology. This role requires a technically agnostic mindset prioritizing the right solution over specific tools or frameworks.
- You will work directly with clients, lead a team of 5 8 developers, and leverage AI tools to accelerate development, improve quality, and drive innovation.

1. Client Engagement & Solutioning

- Act as the primary technical point of contact during discovery and requirement gathering.
- Translate ambiguous business requirements into clear technical specifications.
- Recommend productive, scalable, and cost-effective solutions.
- Explain technical trade-offs (e.g., performance vs complexity, build vs buy) to non-technical stakeholders.

2. Technically Agnostic Architecture

- Evaluate problems from first principles without bias toward specific technologies.
- Recommend optimal tech stacks based on constraints like timeline, budget, and scalability.
- Design end-to-end solutions across frontend, backend, infrastructure, and integrations.

3. Database & Data Modeling

- Robust expertise in SQL (joins, indexing, query optimization) and NoSQL databases.
- Design efficient schemas (normalized and denormalized).
- Optimize queries and troubleshoot performance issues.
- Guide data migration and ETL strategies.

4. Team Leadership (5 8 Members)

- Lead and mentor a team of 5 8 developers.
- Conduct code reviews focused on maintainability and architecture.
- Facilitate agile ceremonies and remove technical blockers.

5. Communication & Stakeholder Management

- Communicate technical concepts clearly to executives, clients, and cross-functional teams.
- Document architecture decisions, risks, and discussions.
- Handle scope changes and technical debt conversations professionally.

6. Leveraging AI in Software Development

- Stay updated with AI tools such as Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude, and Gemini.




- Use AI for coding, testing, documentation, and refactoring.
- Identify AI-driven solutions (e.g., search, summarization, automation).
- Train the team on responsible AI usage, including prompt design and validation.
- Evaluate AI-assisted development practices to improve productivity.

Preferred (Nice-to-Have) Skills

- Experience with cloud-agnostic tools such as Terraform or Kubernetes.
- Exposure to multi-cloud architectures.
- Familiarity with Domain-Driven Design (DDD) or Event Storming.
- Consulting or agency experience with direct client interaction.
- Experience building AI-based features (e.g., RAG pipelines, embeddings, fine-tuning).

Success Metrics (KPIs)

- Client satisfaction on solution clarity and feasibility.
- Reduction in requirement churn and rework.
- Team retention and internal promotions.
- Database performance improvements (e.g., 95th percentile response time).
- Measurable productivity gains from AI adoption (e.g., faster development, better test coverage).

Required Skills & Qualifications

- Total Experience: Minimum 8 years in software development, including 2+ years in a technical lead or client-facing role.
- Technical Agnosticism: Experience across at least two ecosystems (e.g., JVM, .NET, Node.js, Python, Go, Rust).
- Database Expertise: Strong experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server) and at least one NoSQL database (MongoDB, Cassandra, Redis, DynamoDB). Ability to analyze and optimize EXPLAIN plans.
- Team Leadership: Experience managing teams of 5 8 developers, including delegation and performance management.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written English; ability to run workshops and present solutions.
- AI Proficiency: Hands-on experience with AI coding tools and understanding of their benefits and limitations (e.g., hallucination risks, productivity gains).
