Role & responsibilities : Reviewing project documentation: This includes studying architectural and engineering project
- Quantity takeoff: Performing detailed measurements and calculations to determine the quantities of materials needed for the project. This may involve using specialized software or manual methods.
- Documentation and reporting: Maintaining accurate records of quantity takeoffs, cost estimates, and bid submissions. Generating reports and presenting findings to project stakeholders, including management, clients, and contractors.
Qualifications and skills required for a quantity assessment role may include:
- A degree in civil engineering, interiors or architecture, construction management,
or a related field.
- Robust mathematical and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in excel, quantity takeoff software and tools.
- Knowledge of construction materials, methods, and cost factors.
- Knowledge of reading permit set drawing and getting details.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Time management and organizational skills to meet deadlines
- Experience in bid preparation and cost estimation is highly desirable.
