ABOUT THE ROLE

The Group Compliance Officer will serve as the single accountability point for regulatory compliance across multiple licensed verticals and build the compliance framework from the ground up for a rapid-expanding platform. This is a principal-level role requiring someone who has navigated the complexity of multi-license environments and can build scalable compliance infrastructure for a high-growth organisation. Experience across license types including AIFs, IB, Merchant Banking, etc. is preferred. The ideal candidate will bring deep hands-on familiarity with SEBI and RBI frameworks through prior experience across regulated financial services entities.

WHAT YOU WILL OWN

- Own compliance across all licensed verticals; serve as designated Compliance Officer on SEBI and RBI registrations
- Build the compliance calendar, internal audit mechanism, and reporting structure across service lines
- Lead all regulatory correspondence, examination responses, and liaison with SEBI, RBI, and other bodies
- Review product structures, fee arrangements, carry mechanics,



and investor-facing documents for regulatory soundness
- Own KYC, AML, and PMLA compliance across all entities and fund structures
- Manage external counsel and progressively internalise routine compliance work

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

- 10+ years in compliance or regulatory roles within SEBI or RBI-regulated financial services entities
- Exposure to multi-entity group structures where compliance obligations are shared across legal entities with different regulatory registrations
- Hands-on experience across at least two license types beyond AIF: Merchant Banking, IB, PMS, Mutual Fund, or NBFC (Type I / II)
- Exposure to structured instruments: OCDs, CCDs, debentures, secondary transfers, and Fund of Funds structures
- Prior experience as a designated / principal Compliance Officer with personal accountability for regulatory filings
- Working knowledge of PMLA, FEMA, and SEBI Regulations
- LLB, CS, or CA preferred;
- Commercial, direct, and capable of building and owning a function
