Job Description: Manager – Finance & Compliance
About this role:
We are looking for a master juggler with superlative management skills, both time & people. The
role demands a multitasker who can effortlessly liaise with all the other teams, efficiently manage
the roles and duties within the team, and finally get the job done well in time.
Here’s what will be expected out of you*:
1. Accounting & Compliances:
Prepare and publish the monthly / quarterly and annual financial statements on standalone and
consolidated basis to the Leadership / Investors- Handle all compliances such as GST, Income tax,
TDS etc.- Handle returns submission to the regulators such as RBI.
Develop and document agile processes and SOPs- Liaison with Internal and Statutory Auditors-
Coordinate and negotiate with vendors- Play a key role in Financing rounds, due diligence and
execution including handling Investor queries.
Manage the monthly financial close process, including ensuring all costs incurred are properly
recorded, reviewing journal entries, account balance reconciliations and report preparation.
Supervise books of Accounts for global entities based out of USA, Hongkong & China.
Interact at all levels and with Business unit owners or other stakeholders to produce timely,
efficient, and accurate Business MIS and all internal management and financial reporting through
annual report.
Participate in the ongoing development/ establishment of Internal controls, accounting policies,
procedures and SOPs including the review and implementation of process and system changes.
Handle Annual Statutory/IFC Audits, Regulatory Compliance (PF, ESIC, TDS, GST, ROC, RBI/FEMA,
Transfer pricing, Annual Tax Returns, Income tax Assessments and other compliances as
applicable)
Strong knowledge of GST,



Supervising/preparation and filing of monthly GST returns for group
entities.
a) To collate and compile information for timely payment of taxes and submission of returns
related to GST for the state of Maharashtra and other State.
b) To review & reconcile GST information collated and submitted for all locations Pan India.
Hands on experience in Procure to Pay, Accounting to Reporting, Month end closing, Inter Company
transactions
Supporting and Ensuring implementation of internal audit recommendations
Developing finance strategy, including risk minimisation plans and financial opportunity
forecasting to maximise profitability and working capital.
Driving tech integration with inhouse Tech & product teams for automation of Finance systems
and process, identify system and process deficiencies and come up with solutions/ideas to drive
automation and eliminate manual dependencies.
The role will involve independent handling of financial streams for market-place operations with
leading Ecommerce players like Amazon, Flipkart, Snapdeal, Ajio, Myntra etc ensure accurate
reconciliations, accounting, reporting, compliance, audit etc.
Handle multiple cross functional projects- Develop and mentor a high calibre and action-oriented
team.
2. Financial Reporting/MIS:
Preparation of Financial statements on a standalone & consolidated basis for group entities on a
monthly basis.
Experience in Financial Planning & Analysis,



Variance Analysis, Budgeting/Forecasting.
Assisting in Working capital & Fund flow budgeting/planning & Variance analysis based on Actuals
vs Projections.
Develop and implement financial trend reports to identify performance issues within the business
and risks or opportunities in current financial Plan / Estimate.
Design and work with the tech team to build the company's financial reporting & other
reporting system including the interface between the commerce platform / system and the
accounting software.
Requirements:
Qualified CA with 2-3 years of Ecommerce/Retail Industry experience. Must have experience in
Accounting finalizations, Preparation of Financial Statements, sound knowledge on preparation &
filing of GST Returns & able to manage other compliances.
Hands on experience in Advanced MS Excel and automation of financial processes. Robust Tally,
MS- Dynamics, quickbooks, ERP systems experience preferred.
Exceptional written and oral communication skills.
