Role & responsibilities

1) Participate in network projects planning and execution.
2) Work closely with project managers, architects, and other team members to develop project plans, define deliverables and timelines, and allocate resources effectively.
3) Ensure comprehensive documentation throughout the project lifecycle. Create detailed network designs, configurations, and procedures, and maintain accurate records of changes and updates.
4) Actively participate in knowledge sharing sessions, providing guidance, and mentoring to junior team members, and promoting best practices within the team.
5) Engage in effective communication and collaboration with project stakeholders.
6) Provide regular updates on project progress, address technical concerns, and ensure alignment with project objectives.
7) Responsible for implementing robust network security measures within projects.
8) Design and implement security policies, access controls, and encryption mechanisms to protect network infrastructure and data.
9) Collaborate with vendors, OEMs and other teams, such as system administrators and application developers, to ensure seamless integration of network projects.
10) Support in RFP/RFQ activities
11) Prepare HLD & LLD, generate configuration template for network changes, and harden network devices.
12) Vendor/OEM coordination for POC's and project implementation
13) Analyse network traffic patterns, conduct capacity planning, and fine-tune network configurations to improve performance and ensure productive utilization of network resources.
14) Prepare SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) for projects, operating teams with escalation framework.
15) Heavily involved in the network architecture and design phase of projects.
16) Collaborate with network architects and project stakeholders to understand requirements, translate them into technical designs, and develop scalable and resilient network architectures. This includes selecting appropriate hardware and software solutions, defining routing and switching protocols, and ensuring security and performance considerations are met.
17) Project Planning and Execution: L3 network engineers actively participate in project planning and execution.
18) Work closely with project managers, architects, and other team members to develop project plans, define deliverables and timelines,



and allocate resources effectively.
19) Provide technical guidance and expertise to ensure the successful implementation of network projects.
20) Lead the implementation and configuration of complex network solutions.
21) Have in-depth knowledge of network devices, protocols, and technologies and are responsible for configuring routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, and other network equipment.
22) Ensure proper integration with existing infrastructure, perform system testing, and validate network functionality.
23) Responsible for implementing robust network security measures within projects.
24) Design and implement security policies, access controls, and encryption mechanisms to protect network infrastructure and data.
25) Also ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards, such as GDPR or PCI-DSS, and address security vulnerabilities through appropriate solutions.
26) Escalation point for complex network issues and incidents.
27) Possess advanced troubleshooting skills and use diagnostic tools to identify and resolve network problems effectively.
28) Work closely with L2 engineers and collaborate with other teams to troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues, minimizing downtime and maintaining network availability.
29) Responsible for optimizing network performance within projects.
30) Analyze network traffic patterns, conduct capacity planning, and fine-tune network configurations to improve performance and ensure efficient utilization of network resources.
31) Also monitor network performance metrics and proactively address any performance bottlenecks.
32) Ensure comprehensive documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
33) Create detailed network designs, configurations, and procedures, and maintain accurate records of changes and updates.

40) Configuration of Networking & Security devices (Switches, Routers, Firewalls, Load Balancers, etc.)
41) Design complex networks, provide solutions and maintain documentation with version control.
42) Prepare SOPs (Standard Operating Process) for projects, operating teams with escalation framework.
43) Support in RFP/RFQ activities
44) Vendor/OEM coordination for POC's and project implementation
45) Responsible for optimizing network performance within projects.
46) Analyse network traffic patterns, conduct capacity planning, and fine-tune network configurations to improve performance and ensure efficient utilization of network resources.
47) Monitor network performance metrics and proactively address any performance bottlenecks.

Preferred candidate profile

1)Participate in network projects planning and execution.

3)Collaborate with network architects and project stakeholders to understand requirements, translate them into technical designs, and develop scalable and resilient network architectures.

Knowledge:
1) Understanding of OSI model and TCP/IP protocol (IPv4 & IPv6) - Mandatory
2) Knowledge on network capture / analysis tools like Wireshark - Mandatory
3) Knowledge in Network Management and Monitoring tools such as Solarwinds. - Mandatory
4) Knowledge of Software Defined Network (SDN) & SD-WAN. - Mandatory
5) Knowledge on Network & Security devices like firewalls, WAFs, L3 & L2 switches, LBs - Mandatory
6) MS Office & MS Visio- Mandatory
7) Knowledge of Network Security devices - Added advantage
8) Knowledge on Telecom domain - Added advantage
