Core responsibilities
- Independently manage VMware vSphere environments, including ESXi, vCenter, clusters, HA, DRS, vMotion, datastores, templates and snapshots.
- Design, implement and administer Microsoft Hyper-V clusters and Windows Failover Clustering.
- Manage enterprise storage, including SAN, NAS, RAID, LUN provisioning, storage connectivity and datastore management.
- Install, configure and maintain Windows Server 2016, 2019 and 2022 environments.
Mandatory technical capability
- Expert-level production experience with VMware vSphere, ESXi, vCenter, HA, DRS, clustering and datastore management.
- Solid production experience with Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy and DFS.
- Hands-on Hyper-V clustering and Windows Failover Clustering experience.
- Real SAN/NAS storage experience, including RAID concepts, LUNs, connectivity and datastore mapping.
