Role & responsibilities

- Lead and oversee the overall plant operations, ensuring the smooth functioning of Production, Maintenance, Planning, Stores, Dispatch, and other support functions.
- Ensure production targets are achieved while maintaining quality standards, delivery commitments, operational efficiency, and cost effectiveness.
- Lead daily production review meetings to ensure smooth operations, timely issue resolution, and zero production failures.
- Act as the single Point of Contact (POC) for the management on all plant operations, taking complete ownership of the plant's overall performance, output, and operational excellence.
- Prepare and present daily, weekly, and monthly operational MIS and KPI reports using MS Excel for management review and strategic decision-making.
- Drive productivity improvement, machine utilization, process efficiency, waste reduction, and cost optimization through Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Kaizen, TPM, and other continuous improvement initiatives.
- Monitor key plant performance metrics such as OEE, productivity, rejection, downtime, and on-time delivery, and implement corrective and preventive actions wherever required.
- Develop and implement operational strategies, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and best manufacturing practices to enhance overall plant performance.
- Lead, mentor, and develop departmental heads and plant teams, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, ownership, and continuous improvement.
- Ensure optimum manpower planning and effective utilization of resources to achieve production and business objectives.
- Collaborate closely with Procurement, Supply Chain,



HR, Finance, Sales, and other cross-functional teams to ensure seamless business operations.
- Review production performance, quality concerns, maintenance activities, and operational challenges regularly, ensuring timely resolution and continuous improvement.
- Drive customer satisfaction by ensuring consistent product quality, on-time deliveries, and adherence to manufacturing standards.
- Drive a culture of accountability, discipline, and operational excellence across the plant while ensuring alignment with the organization's business goals and management expectations.

Required Skills & Experience

- Minimum 10 years of experience in manufacturing operations, with at least 5 years in a plant leadership role.
- Robust leadership, people management, and team-building capabilities.
- Excellent operational planning and execution skills with the ability to manage end-to-end plant operations.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, decision-making, and strategic thinking abilities.
- Proficiency in MS Excel (Advanced Excel preferred), including Pivot Tables, Lookup Functions, Charts, Dashboards, and data analysis for MIS reporting and management presentations.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, 5S, TPM, OEE, CAPA, and other continuous improvement methodologies.
- Excellent communication, presentation, stakeholder management, and cross-functional coordination skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with a results-driven approach.

Candidates with experience in Lithium-ion Battery Manufacturing or related industries will be given preference.
