Role Summary

We are looking for a seasoned Procurement Manager to lead end-to-end procurement operations at our Head Office, covering materials, equipment, and subcontractor services across our portfolio of sewerage network and STP/TTP projects. The role requires robust commercial acumen, deep familiarity with the water and wastewater equipment ecosystem, and the ability to operate effectively within the compliance framework of government infrastructure contracts.

Key Responsibilities

- Sourcing & Vendor Management Identify, evaluate, and empanel vendors and OEMs for key project materials including pipes (DI, MS, RCC, HDPE, uPVC), pumps, blowers, diffusers, valves, MCC/PLC panels, instrumentation, civil materials, and STP process equipment (SBR, MBBR, MBR packages). Develop and maintain a robust vendor database with periodic performance reviews. — Negotiate pricing, payment terms, delivery schedules, and warranty/AMC conditions.
- Purchase Operations — Manage the complete procure-to-pay cycle: indenting, comparative statements, purchase orders, GRN coordination, and invoice processing. — Ensure all procurement is aligned with approved BOQ specifications, IS codes, and project-specific technical requirements. — Track open POs, expedite deliveries, and resolve supply chain bottlenecks proactively.
- Cost Control & Market Intelligence — Conduct regular market analysis for key commodity categories (steel, cement, pipes, electrical equipment)



to identify cost-saving opportunities. — Benchmark pricing across projects and build rate contracts for high-volume items. — Support bid estimation teams with accurate and current material rate inputs during tendering.
- Compliance & Coordination — Ensure all procurement complies with government project norms, including CPWD/state PWD specifications, AMRUT 2.0 and NMCG guidelines, and applicable GST/TDS requirements. — Coordinate closely with project site teams, design/engineering, QA/QC, and finance departments. — Maintain proper documentation for audit readiness, including comparative statements, approval notes, and delivery records

Required Qualifications & Experience

- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical / Civil / Electrical Engineering, or in Supply Chain Management / Business Administration.
- 5–10 years of procurement experience, preferably in water/wastewater infrastructure, EPC contracting, or government civil works.
- Prior experience on projects under AMRUT, Namami Gange, ADB/World Bank funded urban sewerage projects, or similar state/central government programmes is strongly preferred.

Skills & Competencies

- Strong negotiation skills with demonstrated ability to secure favourable commercial terms.
- Working knowledge of STP/sewerage project components and their supply ecosystems.
- Familiarity with government procurement processes and RA billing cycles.
- Proficiency in MS Excel (advanced functions, pivot tables, MIS reporting); familiarity with ERP systems (Odoo, SAP, or similar) is a plus.
- Excellent coordination and communication skills — ability to interface with project managers/coordinator, vendors, and senior management equally well.
- Self-driven, deadline-oriented, and capable of managing procurement across multiple concurrent project sites.
