Role & Responsibilities

Buyer & Order Management

- Act as the primary point of contact with domestic retail buyers and buying houses.
- Own the full product development lifecycle including sampling, fit approvals, size sets, and PP approvals.
- Coordinate with buyers on order sheets, revisions, costing approvals, and TNA adherence.

Production Coordination

- Coordinate internally with sampling, production, cutting, washing, finishing, and packing teams to ensure smooth execution.
- Monitor production progress daily and flag potential issues proactively to avoid delays.
- Ensure the production/dispatch plan is aligned with buyer delivery windows and store replenishment cycles.

Costing & Negotiation

- Prepare costings based on fabric, trims, CM, processes, and margin structures.
- Support Lead price discussions with buyers and justify costing with detailed break-ups.

Quality & Compliance

- Ensure all products meet buyer specifications, measurements, fabric standards, shrinkage norms, and workmanship expectations.
- Coordinate with QA teams for inline and final inspections required by domestic retailers.
- Follow all compliance requirements as per different retail chains (V-Mart, Vishal, D-Mart, etc.)

Vendor, Fabric, & Trim Coordination

- Evaluate and select mills, traders, and accessory vendors for sourcing fabrics, trims, and materials cost-effectively.
- Track Set lead-time expectations and ensure timely inward of raw materials to avoid production delays.

Tracking, Documentation & Reporting

- Review and oversee TNA, order trackers, sampling trackers, and buyer dashboards.
- Finalize dispatch plans, carton details, barcodes,



MRP stickers, and packaging requirements as per retailer SOPs.
- Ensure all documentation (delivery challans, invoices, GST requirements, etc.) is complete for domestic shipments.

Preferred Qualifications & Skills

- 2-7 years of experience in domestic/export merchandising within the garment manufacturing industry.
- Strong understanding of buying processes of Indian retailers such as V-Mart, Vishal, V2, V-Bazaar, D-Mart, Max, Shoppers Stop, etc.
- Deep knowledge of fabrics (denim, knits, woven), garment construction, and cost components.
- High proficiency in Excel and ERP software for order management, costing sheets, and production tracking.
- Strong communication skills in English and Hindi.
- Ability to multitask and manage large order volumes across multiple retail accounts.
- Hands-on experience with sampling, fit approvals, and production follow-ups.
- Proactive, detail-oriented, and able to work in a fast-paced, high-volume manufacturing environment.
